Highlights from the March 13th Construction Progress Meeting

Here are the highlights from the March 13th construction progress meeting detailing contractor activities that are underway for the GGB addition project.

1st level
   * continue finish paint
   * continue installing door frames and doors
   * install chilled water pumps in GGB (complete by Friday)
   * demo concrete grade beam in GGB west substation room (noisy late night work)
   * continue lab case work and mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) connections
   * continue MEP finishes
   * continue install of ULV chambers
   * install ceiling tiles in offices

2nd level
   * prime paint soffits at Galleria
   * continue install of glass handrails and corridor glass
   * continue finish painting in atrium
   * prep floors and continue installing flooring
   * begin millwork installation and toilet room vanity countertops
   * continue MEP finishes
   * continue installing lab casework and MEP connections

3rd level
   * prime and paint Galleria
   * finish painting continues
   * MEP work continues
   * begin terrazzo flooring
   * continue to install flooring
   * prep and install flooring
   * install fire alarm devices
   * installing casework on the west side
   * start and check equipment
   * continue mechanical piping to units

   * completed brickwork at SE entrance (needs washing)
   * field measure for panels at E and W canopy entrances
   * steam tie-in in room 1164 GGB required a Dow and west side of GGB steam shutdown.  Being scheduled 
     for March 18th.

The current substantial completion date has been established as June 4th.  Furniture will be installed during May.  Move in of the occupants will occur in June and July.
