Highlights from the February 27th Construction Progress Meeting

Here are the highlights from the February the construction progress meeting detailing contractor activities that are underway for GGB addition project: 

1st level:

             * Continue finish paint

             * Continue install door frames and doors  

          * Demo chilled water pumps in GGB and prepare to install new ones

          * Demo existing electrical substation in the west end of GGB

              *   Poured concrete floors to connect the addition to GGB

              *  Continue lab case word

              *  Continue mechanical/electrical/plumbing finishes

           * Continue install of ULV chambers

               *   Install ceiling panels for labs and begin M/E/P hookup

               *  Demo concrete block wall at connection to GGB near room 1200A 

 2nd level:

                Prime paint soffits at Galleria

           * Continue install of glass handrails and corridor glass

           * Continue finish painting in atrium

           * Continue priming and painting atrium wall

           * Prep floors and continue installing flooring

           * Continue install of fin tube covers

           * Continue M/E/P finishes

           * Continue installing lab casework and countertops

           * Install fire alarm devices

3rd level:

            * Prime and paint Galleria

            * Finish painting continues

            * M/E/P work continues

            * Continue ceramic tile in toilet rooms

            * Continue to install lighting

            * Prep and install flooring

            * Install fire alarm devices


            * Start and check equipment

            * Continue mechanical piping to units

            * Continue electrical to units


            * Complete brickwork at SE entrance

            * Field measure for panels at E and W canopy entrances

            * Develop a sequence/logistics to begin terrazzo flooring (3rd level to start week of March 10th)

The current substantial completion date has been established as June 4th.  Furniture will be installed during May.  Move in of the occupants will occur in June and July.
